How to take your temperature

1. Press ON/OFF button to activate. The unit would beep and display. This LCD display test will go on for around 2 seconds. If you press ON/OFF button for more than 2 seconds, the temperature taken last time would be displayed with a ''M'' mark in the right corner.

2. Then, 98.2°F (or 37.0°c) will appear.

3. When L and flashing °F   ( °c ) displays, the thermometer is ready for temperature measuring. But if the room temperature is higher than 89.6 °F  (32.0 °c ), the room temperature would be displayed instead of L .

4. The beep will sound when temperature measuring is complete.

5. Press ON/OFF button to turn off the unit.

The unit will automatically power off after approximately ten minutes after use.

The temperature of human body is like a barometer of healthy state. The normal body 
temperature is generally 36 ° C ~ 37.3 ° C (based on oral temperature), 37.4 ° C ~ 38 ° C 
is a low fever, 38.1 ° C ~ 39 ° C is a moderate fever, 39.1 ° C ~ 41 ° C is a high fever, and 
the normal oral probe temperature is 36.8 ° C, the axillary probe is about 0.3 ° C ~ 0.5 ° C, 
the anal probe is about 0.3 ° C ~ 0.5 ° C higher than the oral probe 6 degrees C

1. Taking an oral temperature

Place the probe tip under the tongue as near as possible to the heat pocket. Approximate measuring time: 1 minute.

2. Taking an axillary temperature (under the arm)

Wipe the underarm with a dry towel and place the probe tip under the arm so the tip is touching the skin with the thermometer perpendicular to the body. Position the arm across the chest so the probe tip is well covered by the arm. Approximate measuring time: 2-3 minutes.

Note: Axillary temperatures are generally 1.0 °F  /0.5 °c lower than oral readings.

3. Taking a rectal temperature

Apply a water-soluble lubricant to the probe cover. Gently insert the probe (MAXIMUM 1/2'') into the rectum.

Approximate measuring time: 1 minute.

Cleaning Instructions

Before and after each use, clean the thermometer with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol diluted with water, or wash with COLD soapy water.. Do not soak for an extended period of time or sterilize by boiling method, gas or steam autoclaves.
